religion in sperry schools? is that allowed?

sperry public schools put a news letter once a month. newest issue includes a letter from the new interim superintendent jim sisney. he refers to proverbs 29:18. i thought there was seperation of church and state. i understand that everyone is entitled to there beliefs. but i send my child to be educated on fact based issues. religion is to personal and i believe school is not the place for that. plus i thought there were laws on that type of thing. i may be incorrect. but this is my feeling on the issue.

To me, that doesn't sound as if he's violating any law.  He's not introducing scripture or his beliefs into the curriculum.

Hopefully you and your children enjoy the Christmas and Easter holidays.  Surely there would be no problem if y'all voluntarily gave those up, since they're based on religious beliefs.

If you're sending your children to be educated on "fact-based issues", they surely won't be in school very long...there's also lot's of interpretation, opinion, and assumptions that are being taught as well.
