Another big day for the kids today. Sarah went out to practice swimming laps in preparation for getting on a swim team at school next year. Lucy had the finish of her SNAG golf experience.
Starting New At Golf is a new thing for elementary aged kids using tennis balls and oversized clubs and velcro targets. I am sure LeeAnne had mentioned it in a previous blog. Today was the big SNAG finish at the LPGA. About 8 or 9 elementary schools in Tulsa and BA took part in this first year of SNAG and had a full month of practice that led up to this tournament. Plus, an anonomous donor provided different colored polo shirts for each team. This was the best thing possible as there were 9 members of each team. Some of the teams even had matching visors or hats. Lucy had a great time as did all the other kids. Congrats to Rhodes Elementary for winning the first ever tournament.
And thanks to FOX for coming by and taking some video of Lucy and her team! I am certain of the success of this program and that Lucy will be back next year to compete again.
