As I sit here and listen to my scanner, It came from having a brother that was a Ok Highway Patrolman, and being homebound now..I hear all the patrolman and other law enforcement having to call out rescuers to get the stupid people out of the water that they put signs up to tell you the water is too high to drive through and still people go around the signs then they call for help!!!!!!!!!!! I think that they should just let them float away unless they are drowning, but if it isn't but a foot or so deep let them float, it is obviously what they want to do or they would not have driven into it in the first place....Instead of lawenforcement and firefighters having to go in and rescue them they should be waiting at the water edge with a nice dry ticket for disobeying high water signs, and even if the sign has not went up yet anyone with any sense at all knows that driving into high water is not smart....they are always telling you turn around dont drown..........I think everyone unless you are a SMALL child knows what drowning is..........Then to all the patrolmen and police and county officers remember that you have someone that is listening and praying when you are in situations that are dangerous. When the rains come down as they did today there is always going to be flash flooding and that is where our firemen and women need to be along with lawenforcement...not out getting stupid people that drive into high water.............hope that all have a safe and dry night.............
