Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
For the love of God, I have never had the priviledge of dealing with the biggest group of freaking idiots, since the Tulsa post office! But don't take my word for it, Heres our MAIL since TUESDAY, March 11th Is this confusing? Look at the post mark in RED Do you see MARCH 10TH? That means this was delivered on the 10th or 11th of march, lets say the 11th, that means he has NOT picked up mail in 4 days! But wait, this gets EVEN BETTER! Yes! I get a "Return to Sender", he sent the mail to the same address twice! So far. Social Security cut off my Prescription drug plan as I did not answer a letter they sent (got a month and a half late). I am now without Benicar, Metformin, Cymbalta, Remeron, Econazole, Trileptal, Novolog 70/30, Levimer, Hydrochlorothiazide, etc, while I fix this snafu. During the ice storm, my family graciously sent me over $700 that the post master returned for unkown reasons. Some of the money was resent to friends in Broken Arrow to help out. My credit has been shot as I have not gotten bills and have been turned into credit burrows. Dr's want me to catch up bills that I havent got, before they make another appointment! I have called the Postal Office. There either to busy or want me to call back at certain hours, I call back and get another excuse. I'm a barking and no cares. All someone has to do is come and they can verify everything that is said, they can talk to the tennants and the ones next door to see whats going on. I don't want to get on your stupid state aid, I don't want to take away services from true Oklahomans. But I am telling you, I am sick and tired of being screwed over from services that are granted from state to state. It's getting to the popint that I have nothing to lose to survive because people are taking away the simplest of things out of laziness and stupidity. I feel bad enough being on disabilty, it's getting to the point that I may have to commit crimes to survive, Man I wish I was Mexican.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
I'm still waiting for a package from Botanic that was suppose to have been sent out, February the 24th. 2008. and it is now the 15th. of March. They said it would arrive in 5-7 days.. When I spoke with the postal delivery lady, she told me she brought it to my door, I told her that I never seen her. When I phoned Botanic to see what happened, they asked me to return the second package when it arrives, since they will send me another package, I'm still waiting.... (cricket)

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
Bless your hearts! Believe me I know what you are saying is true. I wanted to work for the post office because they make so much money, so I took the tests, passed, went to OKC for 3 days and nights to take physicals and more tests, then came home, went back for 3 more days and nights to train, came home, went back for one more day and night to train for something I was supposed to train for on the previous trip, came home, went to another post office here to train more, then finally got a route to deliver mail, I had asked for a rural route, but I got a city one, so I go out in the middle of August, temperature 110, humidity 110, to walk a thousand miles, up and down streets, with my aching arms full of sweaty, wrinkled, rumpled discomboobilated mail, while my training officer drives his freaking van, but makes me walk every step, then gripes at me for being too slow, I do this for almost 10 hours before I have a mild heat stroke, after a couple of hours I recover enough to speak intelligently at which time I tell them to stick the US mail where the sun doesn't shine. Not only did I not want to ever work for the post office anymore, I wanted to go back in time and beat the hell out of Ben Franklin. I would venture to say there are a lot of carriers who feel just like I did, it is a miracle we get our mail at all, it is pretty messed up, I know, I was on the inside for awhile, I couldn't believe how it is.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
Hey, I am a fairly easy going guy. But when I have to send mail to Broken Arrow or 71st and Lewis, somethings wrong. Mail from NY to my Apt (near Hillcrest) takes 7 to 10 business day. From NY to Broken Arrow, 3 -4 NY, 71st lewis , 3 -4. I told this guy Back in September when I moved to this area, that if he ever needed the bathroom, a cool drink, or hot coffee, he was more than welcome to knock as I know how hard the job is. But you can't catch him, I am trying to get a hold of tire strips and bear traps at this point. I wonder if they make fly paper in postman size? I wonder, if I lose my leg because of his actions, am I allowed to hobble down to the post postice and beat that son of *** with it? I have talked to the neighbors, this has been going on a long time and no one is willing do to anything about it.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
I absolutely agree. Here's my contribution to the mail tirade.
In '05, sometime between February and August, I tried to send a package from where I was staying in St. Louis, to where my husband was staying in Bixby. It was a photo album I'd put together for him, so I paid extra to make it priority shipping and insure the package. Within a week, the package was back in my mailbox, and I was standing there looking stupid. It was marked "NMR," which the St. Louis postmaster could ony interpret to mean No Mail Recepticle, which was a crock and a falsehood. The St. Louis branch graciously followed up by telling me they'd refund my money, and then never returning my call, so somebody still owes me $8.25 which I'll never see. I didn't even attempt to resend the package, since hubby was coming up that following weekend, but it lessened the impact of the gift by me giving it to him in person, rather than him being surprised by something special in the mail.
Now, I have to say that our carrier in north Tulsa was pretty good. We had no major problems to speak of, but I don't think we sent much of importance during that span, either. So, moving right along...
We move to Bixby, a scant 4-5 blocks from the post office. I swear it had to be a trainee's route. First they lost Loki's certificate for her UCD title that we busted our butts for. (It was being sent to an old address, but that's why we had set up our forwarding. They could forward postcards from our insurance agent, but not something I actually wanted.) Since it never got returned to the sender, I had to pay $10 for the reprint.
Then they lost a set of professional prints from a dog event. Thankfully, that time, 2MC Design sent a second copy for free, though I could tell they weren't happy about it. Neither was I.
Then it seemed as if the mail carrier was only reading the first 3 digits in the address and skipping the rest. Our address was 111 W. McKennon. (I don't care if anyone knows it because that place is leveled now. We made sure to take the mailbox off the post first, though.) We kept getting mail for 111 E. McKennon. Then we would get mail for 111 Cabaniss, even though the recipient was clearly marked Dollar General. The kicker was when we got mail for 11134 S. Memorial, this time for Bixby Telephone Company (BTC). Were we not as honest as we are, some poor gal would never have known that she sent the check for her phone bill to us.
Anyway, I commiserate. The irony is, they keep raising the price of stamps, complaining that the Internet is taking business away from them. Well I tell ya what, if my email service started losing or misdirecting my correspondence, or if my ISP started telling me it couldn't find its way to the 'Net, I would go with someone else for service. Unfortunately, with the USPS, you don't have a lot of choices. Take it or leave it. (I guess you could use FedEx or UPS for some things, if you wanted to pay for it.)
ETA: If this had happened over a span of many, many years, I would accept it. But we're talking about 3 years or less here. And there's no telling what else they lost. It always seemed as if we were saying "Why are we getting a cutoff notice for this? Did you get the last bill? I didn't get it either."

Feel our Pain? Have you noticed the box with the maskin gtape on it? That's mine and has been like that since October. Then I get jacked by this guy this morning and he tells me to take the "Missing posters" down from the poles I put them on. I mean, he hasn't been here in 4 days, he could be seriously hurt or something, I am just showing concern.

YAY! The Feds are involved! As soon as I said "I have proof and pictures". I said I called the downtown post office on many occasions. I also mentioned that Social Security wants MY mailing address and I can not get that at alternate addresses. Note: Apparently if your Federal Social Security you can now use a P.O. Box. It wasn't like this when I tried a few years ago. So lets see if we have a differance in the Downtown office.

The P.O. Called yesterday. I must say, being poor, I got an awesome song and dance for free. after 30 minutes and a couple minutes intermission, I finally said, "Look, why don't you come down here and talk to the tenants and the tenants next door? I'll even give you pictures!" Needless to say, The mailman showed up and I got lots of mail! Walmart, Reasors, Mays, Walgreens, Dominos, Mazzios, and some stores I didn't even know we had! All crammed in my mail box. I had so much mail the door wouldn't close! This is an awesome step to closure. Today I am hoping I will get something with my name on it.

I know this is really sad for you and frustrating also, but now that your recieving JUNK MAIL, I really hope you finally start getting your real mail, like you said: WITH YOUR NAME ON IT, not just for the tenant that resides there. Good luck. (cricket)

Honestly, It's got the point were I am actually laughing about this. I don't know if it's because I find humor in this or I just don't want to be the new "Going Postal" Poster child. But thats my life. When everyone comes to a fork in the road, they go left or right, I can't as the fork is embedded into my chest and my arms are flailing. But the sun is shining, theres a crisp breeze, the birds are singing and it's warm outside. I'm going to wobble down some of these trails in the city and enjoy the day! Laters :-D

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
Don't feel too bad about the junk mail, Kindagreywolf, I also got an arm load, don't know why, guess they think if we aren't shopping there it is because we don't know they exist. I just stop by my trash can on the way into my house and file it under" D" for don't want any. The post office has become the latest agency that has permanently broken down, the reason is partially because they have over regulated it just like everything else, the more they tweek the worse it gets. Their moms probably never told them to stop picking at it or it would never get well.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.
I figured I would give everyone a mini update as it was real nice out yesterday. Coming home from Quick Trip around 6 pm. I asked everyone out on the street (about 18 people), "Did you see the postman"? Everyone was a resounding "No". Five or six people have consistently reported the problem to the local post office. We have at least 5 different mail carriers on the street. One person was arrested two months ago for "Failure to Appear". It seems a letter from the court was returned and not delivered. The police managed to pick this poor sap up at the address though. People have said that even though there home, they get "Tried to deliver" notices all the time.
Now, Cortland County has attempted to deliver two checks. One is a check for child support from my ex when I had my daughter. 16 years after the fact, Cortland yanked the money out of her check and tried to send to me. Check Number 2 is returning funds that they yanked out of my check that I didn't owe. Both checks total a little over $800. Now Cortland is a small town and I have a few friends in the police station and the court house. A quick call and the funds were transfered to a friend in southern Tulsa. I was then able to send the $175 back to Angela that they took out of her check. This is a total of 3 months wasted! We still have mail that the postman refuses to return to the post office. This is cool as I have noticed a couple of Social Security cards that were supposed to be returned, have come up "Missing". I know for a fact that they haven't been returned, someone took them. Identity theft is so easy with incompetence. O.K. So we have properly addressed mail being returned. He/She refuses to pick up mail that needs to be returned. People have been thrown in jail because mail hasn't been delivered. I have lost my medical funding because mail was delivered over a month and a half late. LOL, I just took my Blood glucose, The monitor says "Hi" Ok, so since I can't get my meds because I didn't get the letters from S.S. I now have to goto the hospital to get a shot to bring it down. So I will do this and make yet another trip to Social Security to try to figure out this snafu. All because the Mailman is incompetent.
The sad thing is Oklahoma doesn't care, I have called the Feds, the post office and the attorney general. Oh my, but I will be a criminal if I deal with it because no one else will. I'm going to make this guys life a living hell now. I've been pushed down enough, now I am getting up.

Hey FOX23 , this would be a great investigative report for your station. This is a story that a lot of people would be interested in and it affects everyone. Maybe do a weeklong observation and see how often their postman delivers and what he does. This is a great opputunity.
