The flash poll on 3-11-08 at 5 makes me sad
The final percentages to the flash poll at 5pm on 3-11-08, about if oklahomans are more concerned about the climbing number of homosexuals or terrorism, made me want to throw up! More people are concerned with homosexuality? Are you kidding me? More people are concerned with how others live their lives then their own personal safety? People need to open their eyes and their minds! One would think a plane crashing into a building and killing our mothers, brothers, sons, fathers, friends, etc would have more affect on our quality of life then some guy kissing some other guy. Hence, you would think we would be more concerned about terrorism. But, no! When I saw the results it made me really sad to be an Oklahoman because some of my best friends are homosexual and nicer and more accepting then many straight people I know! Live and let live for sobbing out loud. Concern yourselves with yourselves and not what others choose to do. Acceptance is our ultimate gift to humanity! So give well and often!

Re: The flash poll on 3-11-08 at 5 makes me sad
I completely agree with you Jessica.
It is a sad day when someone's sexual preference is equated with the horrors of terrorism. To have an Oklahoma politician belittle those who were impacted by the OKC bombing with such an off hand remark is a travesty. I realize S Kern did not mention the Murrah building specifically, but was that not an act of terrorism?
I have read many forums over the past few days, and have been saddened to my soul to hear such hate. Was our great country not founded by people who wanted freedoms & the right to choose? Perhaps they were choosing religious freedom, but they fought for us all to have the right to choose.
No man is so rich as to turn down a friend...life is too short to harbor such ill will.
Bigotry is based on ignorance. For me, it goes way deeper into the root of human supremacy over all nature, not just race, religion, etc of humans.
I am sure if you asked S Kern if she felt she was a bigot...she would emphatically deny it, however her words spoke volumes. If you are a bigot, then stand up and claim it...don't be a coward, let everyone see the hate in your heart.
Anyone who chooses to live each day in a world where they encounter such adversity and anger has my profound respect and admiration, and I am proud to walk this life with you in it. You have an inner strength so many of us could learn from.

She was referring to gay activist that have worked their way into the school system spreading their agenda to our children, without parents being able to have a say about it. Here's the outfit she has issues with: www.tolerance.org

Well, I am referring to the poll that was taken after the story was aired which showed that many people agreed that homosexuality is a bigger threat then terrorists. I could care less what she was referring to! Bigger threat then terrorists! WTF! Stupidest thing I've heard in a while, and I hear stupid s%^t constantly!

I think the gay agenda within our school systems highly out weighs any threat of terrorism within the United States. I feel our children come first and the rights of the parents are an equal. The only terrorism I have seen over the past years are the 100's of 1000's of innocent women and children that have been slaughtered in the name of Oil, over in Iraq.

Special Interest groups, and lobbyist are what is destroying this country, they pay off politicians who write stupid bills which are passed and then whatever the bill dictates becomes the norm and we accept it. Our political system is more of a danger to our country than either terrorists or gays,( and some politicians ARE gay, and I am convinced that some are terrorists.) All the while the government is spying on us, the private citizens! HMMM Can you spell P-A-T-R-I-O-T A-C-T? I think you can.

It's as if you folks are patronizing these people. They have their rednecks, drunks, and jerks like any other group has. They also have good will people and their community isn't any different than anyone else's.
The only thing this has to do with them, is activist groups that are using them as a front to tear down the structure of our society. By that I mean removing parental rights within an "elementary" school system and allowing a child to be brain washed by their activist driven political views.
If anyone needs to be upset with anyone, people need to be getting upset with these activist groups. This is what Sally was saying but none of you want to hear that and my question is WHY? The video is out there of her full speech on this but many of you don't want to see it but choose to believe a tape that was hacked up and spliced by these activists groups.

AGIAN, I am speaking, not about the activist groups or Sally, but responding to the poll that was taken where OKLAHOMANS answered that homosexuality is more of a threat then terrorism.
And lets not even begin to discuss the many ways our children are brainwashed. The children are not the one's who answered this poll, and by the results of this poll maybe teaching a little tolerence wouldn't be such a bad idea.
No, I don't agree with the activists going into the schools, just as I wouldn't agree with any religious organization going into the schools. Schools should be used for learning, not as a platform for anyone.

kindagreywolf:We have a gay shop keeper down the street. He is relocating his store and I have gotten some pretty good deals. I accidentley farted in his store and he got down on his knees and asked me to marry him.
I would have to agree with Marlin and patriot though. There just pushing there agenda. We have health class to talk about sexuality here, we don't need agenda pushers. I'm pretty sure you don't want me to talk to your kids about the Skeletons in my closet.
As far as Terrorism, the threat is minimal, at best.
Yeah, saw a cartoon on a website, some strong stuff on there, but one cartoon was pretty funny and accurate, it was a cartoon of Bush wearing a crown, he was holding a plane on a chain, and saying in a hypnotic voice....." FOCUS ON THE TERRORIST.....IGNORE THE CROWN"....FOCUS ON THE TERRORIST......IGNORE THE CROWN. I think terrorism does exist, we have been the target quite a few times, but I also believe fear has been used to divert our attention from the REAL reason we are in Iraq, and unfortunately our servicemen are such good and obedient defenders, they are being sacrificed so oil will sell for a kazillion dollars a barrel, it isn't just the middle eastern folks who are getting rich, you have to look at who has the oil interest in that area to see why we are there and what is being gained.

THis country is run by the oil kazillionares that's why we are over there! That's it..... In the end, no one's voice matters but the filthy rich.... sad but true... The time of middle class is over, hope you all enjoyed it! We are now a country of the very rich and the struggling masses who have to rack up incredibly large credit debts just to keep up.
I figured since we were already off the point it would be fun to continue to deviate from it!

Yeah, on the point or not, that is true, there is no middle class anymore, kind of reminds me of France, when this happened there, the people ate moldy bread, tripped out and killed all the rich people, that is the problem with having a few filthy rich and a whole lot of poor people, sometimes, as in France (Revolution) and Russia (Revolution), the rich are outnumbered, and they pi** the poor starving people off by their very existence and end up being killed for their superior lifestyles. Oh, you say it couldn't happen here? Well, maybe not, but we said we would never have a dictator rule America, but we elected one didn't we, and then because we thought things weren't screwed up quite enough, we re- elected him for a second term as well. Could happen here.
