If a load of wheat weights 3,942 pounds, what is it worth at 50 cts/bushel, deducting 1,050 lbs. for tare? 4. What is the cost of 40 boards 12 inches wide and 16 feet long at $20. per metre? (ORTHOGRAPHY) [Do we even know what this is?] 1. What is meant by the following: alphabet, phonetic, orthography, etymology, syllabication? 2. What are the following, and give examples of each: trigraph, subvocals, diphthong, cognate letters, linguals? 3. Define the following prefixes and use in connection with a word: bi, dis, mis, pre, semi, post, non, inter, mono, sup. note: this just shows you how poor our education system has become.. I just wanted to give you an example of how the teachers of the 20th. century are SCREAMING for more pay. (for what?) , to teach our children to be morons, instead of intellectual humans, that can find a job outside of the poverty lines..
