I got this at a Garden Center in Bixby. I guess it's called a 12.95 plant as that is what the tag said!

hi, i became a member to the fox23 site recently & since then i usually visit several times a day just to browse. this morning i clicked on the "you catch it" link & i had to send this comment...i loved it! i read that section had recently been moved & re-organized & i wanted to say "good job...well done" to whomever had that job!

Photo Events

It seems like I always miss getting to shoot certain events because I don't find out until afterwards about them.

Maybe if we post on this thread of coming events that one may want to take pictures of we might all keep in the know of what's going to be in town to shoot.

I know this weekend there is going to be a run downtown and also a professional bicycle race. I'll see if I can find the info on this and post it on here.

I'm planning on shooting some of the bicycle race on Saturday, I think it's called Tulsa Tuff Race. I haven't had much experience with speed shots yet so I think this will be a good venue to try. I know this race is a lap race so the racers will be coming by many times. I think this is at 2nd and Elgin but I'll get the exact info for us.

heres my first picture, hotel fell down cuz of wind, cant remember where this was at though but thought i'd stop by and take a picture of it

Bikelahoma Pictures

Once again the people with Fever Fest put on another top notch production, this time with Bikelahoma.

The musicians are beyond awesome and the facility is perfect in every way. There's plenty of security and the security is first class.

This isn't for everyone and there's an age limit of 21, and rightly so. But if you like motorcycles, rock bands, beer, tequila, camping and occasional clouds of smoke...... this is the place.

The "Look at me, I am Legend.........Village People" are out there. But don't worry about them, the true bikers that are there out weigh them completely.

Photography group or club in Tulsa?

I have just rekindled my interest in photography and stepping into the DSLR world. It has been fun, but I was wondering if there were or are any good photography clubs or groups here in Tulsa? It would be great to get with other photogs to bounce ideas off of and learn tips and tricks.

Do pictures decieve?

I saw this at first glance and took a piture. See the evil face? In reality this picture is a bunch of leaves in a hole in a rock, that goes back about 3 feet. I couldn't get my camera to take a picture of the hole with the leaves as it looked quite different. Does anyone else have stuff like this?

I do my share of knocking Tulsa but still there are some cool things about it. For example the trail near my house that goes straight to the Pedestrian Bridge. We have tried fishing the past couple days but I like to look around me to. There are fun things to do. Shari's sister hates me and doesn't like her sister to much as she is kind of slow. She hates it if Shari is having a good time. So I do crap like this to tick Shari's Sisters off.

I explained it was the only fish we caught, and Shari caught it (We borrowed the fish from someone else). I know this sends her sister in a tizzy. Another thing that is nice about Tulsa as you can turn 90 degrees and have a different backdrop for pictures, this makes it look like your having fun in twice as many places. Since Tulsa's weather changes every 2 freaking minutes, we also wear different coats, this increases pictures and makes it look like were having even more fun. Just sort and send on different days.

These birds are typical of Arkansas river.

But sometimes, there not just a bird. This one liked a lure a guy was using and kept trying to eat it.

I was staring at this bird yesterday trying to get a better picture.

This was fun as about a dozen people stopped to see what I was looking at. He wasn't easy to see and I actually had to use digital zoom.

This bird is an "Epileptic bird",

I couldn't get him to still for nothing to take a good picture.

But sometimes what you think you see isn't what you get.

One again, I thought this was a lonely pine cone and used my digital zoom.

Believe it or not, this squirrel was eating an APPLE.

Unfortunately by the time I zoomed in, he dropped it.

New Bridge Downtown

Mayor Kathy Taylor of Tulsa, OK. Has built a bridge downtown to help with traffic. There will be 4 lanes on each side so traffic will not get congested.

The trees around it didn't fair so well.

Heres a picture of me at Woodward park. A gentleman told me to lose some weight or
to quit leaning against the trees. If it wasn't for the fact I would smoosh my twinkies, I would have beat him up.

I could do with some snow, rather than all this ice. Friggin' treacherous out there. Its still pretty, though.

Terra and Priest seem to regard the weighed-down tree in the back yard as their own personal ice fort.
