Plus I help those veterans or current military troops, who have gotten behind on their bills due to medical emergencies or any natural disasters. I also help troops become a member of the American Legion, where I am a member of, as both a Service Officer and the Membership Chairperson; and I am on the Mayor's Advisory Veteran's Board, where we figure out ways to help all military troops, both current and prior services. I love working at my Post, which happens to be the oldest American Legion in America.-Post 1.

I lost alot through my uneducated knowledge of the laws and bylaws of the military and the Veteran's Administration. So, I went to the courses and became certified as a Service Officer to help my fellow troops from going through what I had to and anything else.

The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in clothing of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more. Our "royalty" hold courts at which they recognize and honor members for their contributions to the group.

We have lots of camping trips where at least 100 or more people show up for the event. It's like going back in time. There are tournaments where the fighters go up against each other. I've learned so much going to these events. Learned to make a mud oven and bake bread in it. Learned to brew mead (honey beer) make soap, etc. If you like the ren faire thing you might be interested in this. SCA is more of a historically accurate group while Ren faires are more based on fantasy.

You meet lots of people and learn alot about history.

If you want to know more go to www.sca.org

Golf

Any of you hacks played Emerald Falls yet in BA?
