I don't know if there will be a finale or a follow-up for our year as the Fox23 Move It! family. I wanted to take a moment to thank people who have helped us this year.
First of all to the team at Fox who chose us as the family. Thank you. You have changed our lives. I have learned so much about nutirtion and health. You also were very supportive throughout the year.
Especially Amber M. You not only blogged with us, but you got my butt into the gym several times and helped me out there. You gave me the will to continue early in the program when I was ready to quit. You were also there with prayers when Brian was diagnosed and hospitalized. Thanks.
And Ron T. You are bigger than life, being on the news every morning and noon. Yet, in person you are just that...a person. A big person, but still a person. A real, live human being. You are very thoughtful and smart. You are genuine and sincere. Thanks for taking the horrendous video that we provided every month and turning it into news bits that actually looked like we were making progress!
The photographers at Fox are very funny and professional at the same time. I have joked with many of you about the "breaking news" of my family losing a pound here or getting together for an outing there. It can't have been the most interesting footage to take. And my daughters and their videos must have cracked you up...yet you kept a smile on your face and just continued to let the camera roll. (Even when I wished you would turn it off so that I could give the girls what for.)
The Health Zone staff has also been very supportive. They haven't given up on us even when we went an entire month (or was it two) without stepping foot into the place. We got to go throw out the first pitch at ball games and got to spend an entire game in one of the suites. Sweet!
Janna started us off with some family work outs...even when the whole family couldn't be there. Alton also tried to get us into the gym. Linda and company kept Lucy busy in the summer with the camp at the Health Zone.
Jennifer has been working with me for the last two months. Thanks, Jen, for taking me on when it looked like the end was near. I have made many changes lately, because of your time with me. I even made it in 4 days this week!
Sloan the dietician/nutritionist/friend extraordinaire. You got us all started with a visit to our pantry and were there every time we had a question, concern or hospital visit. You talked to us about fast food, slow food, running food, cancer food, hospital food and even working out and running. You kept my mind at ease when I didn't understand some of the things going on with Brian and the cancer/hospital visits.
And to you, the people out there who read this blog all year long. I know we are not the most exciting people to hang out with. You read anyway. You supported us through your words of encouragement. You laughed with us, cried with us, prayed with us and supported us. Thanks.
To everyone involved this year.....thanks, thanks, thanks.
