You just HAD to know I would jump in on this one!  I have to say that Cops have very little to do with this problem.  It's bad parenting (or lack of), bad breeding... bullys beget bullys, bad busdrivers (he should be fired for not intervening), and bad educators (for not identifying this problem before it became violent)!  Shame on Hamilton Public School!  Try doing this at Bixby, Catoosa, Sand Springs or Glenpool.  Educators, stand up and get involved in what is going on in your school.  It is not the cops responsibility to teach good morals and character to the students.  Educators wake up!  You have a festering problem in your inner city school system and if you don't get involved it will never get fixed.  Take a stand!  Do what is right (instead of drawing a paycheck).  If I were the Principal of that school and I heard so much as a whisper about "beat downs"... I would suspend anyone who even mentioned the words.  Compare this to baseball - if I were the Coach of a team with consecutive losing seasons then maybe we ought to look at getting a new Coach.  Maybe we ought to look at new school administration for Hamilton.  Fire the Principal and get someone who will take a hard stance against violence in the schools and on the buses.  Maybe we don't need more cops in the schools... maybe we need better educators who give a crap what happens to the students!!!
