Thank you for your story Patriot...that helps me a lot. I'm trying my hardest with her, like when we do her homework and I see her write a letter or number backwards I show her the correct way. I help with her reading, but, she suffers a bit from dyslexia, but I'm told that will fade with time.
I'd love to homeschool, but I think in her case, the involvement with the "normal" students help her better than I could. She loves school and has many friends, even though most sort of ignore her because her speech and her development is behind. When I dropped her off for the first day of school, she couldn't go two steps without saying hi to a student or teacher that she knew.
