    Summer or Winter Garden?

Which one do you usually have?  Post a picture of it, or your prize tomato or other vegetable.

[Remember: Please keep the file size down.  Some people might be using dial-up.]

Aw, I was hoping to get some tips! Shari and I decided to start our "Indoor Garden". I did this while living in New York. Basically we buy the "U.V. Fluorescent lighting", Then depending on the size of the plant, depends on the size of the plant holder. I have had great success growing tomato's and squash indoors, not to mention herbs and any other vegetable that fruits above ground. No corn or sunflowers.
Our bedroom has that Stucco wall, you know, the stuff that is great for itching your back. We have completely dedicated one wall to the use of the  climbing beans and peas.
In a couple months I will be glad to post a couple pictures, and after we finish setting up post what it initially looks like. Of course, if anyone is interested.

I love to garden.  How much space do you need for indoors tomatos and squash?

Use a 12 inch pot minimum. Put three coffe filters in the bottom of the pot, then fill with good mulch. I use miracle grow organic choice. I put the Tomatoes close to the light and also take outdoors when it's nice.
The squash likes shade or indirect sunlight. When the vegetables start, I would get a couple shoe boxes or something similiar to let the veggies set on. Remember that they are a bushy plant to. It may look cute on a dresser at first, but in the end, you could have squash filling out your clean socks :-D

haha  I told my husband that I want a greenhouse.  I would be a happy camper in the winter for sure because I love growing plants.  Veggies would be even more fun.  One day I'm going to get me one of those miniature blueberry bushes and do that in a pot.  :)

Here's an awesome tip, if your indoor plants start getting droopy or limp, set them in the bathroom when you take a hot shower. The steam perks them up.

Or use a steam iron. Just steam the plants quick, don't try to tak the wrinkles out :-D
