“I guess since I complimented the guy on his post, I'm just as ignorant & close minded as he. Did you read mine?”
* Yes, I read it and it was a non- response provoking comment.
“Most of your replies seem rude & belittling.”
* I’m not a kiss a** and never will be. If I tell it like it is and someone doesn’t like it I really don’t care. (By the way I am correcting your spelling as I respond…try not to get offended)
“Everything you've said has been said before.”
* Newsflash: Everything on this board has been said before. Pay attention.
“Why is it anytime someone speaks out against illegal immigration people like you see it as stereotyping ALL HISPANICS or ALL LATINOS? “
* In the post by David Ray he states ‘Remember, these people do not consider us and our rights only their own subjective needs and desires.’ The term “these people” to me denotes that he is including everyone.
* The identity theft issue is not specifically limited to a certain race. To even use that as an example is ignorant. I deal with identity theft every day and it is not narrowed down to one demographic.
“Some, not ALL.. but some, have absolutely no regard for anyone in this country and it pisses me off to no end.”
* Your entire post could have been simplified to that one sentence.
“You claim your brother is a federal agent. Humm... Did he tell you that he feels his life is more threatened by the drug runners rather than people just coming over here to live? Or was that something you figured out?”
* Yes, that is directly from the agent himself. He says that a lot of the Mexicans coming over to better their lives or help their families are for the most part not harmful. They get caught, they cooperate, they get sent back, they come back and try again later. That’s pretty much the cycle. There are some that are dangerous. Desperation can make a person insane. However, the drug runners set out with intent to kill from the start. My brother has had bombs thrown at him several times. The drug runners cause the biggest safety issues out there and not just for our border patrol, for the people who end up with the drugs in the end. The drug runners are so dangerous that when some of the Mexicans coming over get caught the first thing they say is that they don’t have drugs.
Am I against them coming over here illegally? Yes. Not to mention the fact that I have a family member putting his life on the line every day trying to stop as much of it as he can. If they are coming to America they need to do it right. It doesn’t make it any less poignant that things are so desperate that they resort to drastic measures. My brother is also a drill sergeant and has been in the Military for almost 18 years. He’s as hardened as it gets but says he still gets tears in his eyes when at least once a month they find a woman and her babies dead in the desert because the elements got them. Things go so completely desperate that she would rather die trying than sit there and watch her babies starve. It’s just a bad situation. You aren’t human if you can’t understand it. Again, I think they should be legal if coming to America but I am not so blind as to not be affected by their plight.
“Everybody knows it's our government that screwed it up. It's already been said over & over & over again.”
Yes and nothing has been done about it so people will continue to gripe about the government over and over again this is not news and if it bothers you, change the channel.
“Please don't bother playing that broken record again though cause I'm bored with your artificial intelligence.”
My artificial intelligence somehow provoked you to write a small novel (which, again was a long way around a short bush) so apparently said artificial intelligence was enough to make you think about something.
Oh… and one more thing….
“you come off to me as a blow hard.”
That’s alright because to me you come off as a jerk so I guess we are even.
