Me thinks we need to stop living in the past. This is the problem America is facing today. Living in the past just breeds racism. Sure, the Spanish had the country, The English, The French, The Germans, The Native Americans, The Polynesians, on and on.
Under this mentality, and if you believe in the bible, lets take a small leap. Since the beginnings of the bible and supposedly the Garden of Eden, all took place in Egypt and Irag, so technically, America then all belongs to these two countries, were all trespassers, and we should get off this planet and give it back to them!
Lets kick forward to "Columbus", When was this? 1498 He found America? Who were the people that greeted him? He was Italian funded with Spanish money. Let's debate that for awhile.
I know what your thinking, "KGW, TAKE YOUR FREAKING MEDS". But the point is, we can have a circle jerk all day on who owns what, who deserves what, who did what to who, etc did what to etc, and it will get us nowhere!
Today we all live in a country called AMERICA, not Mexica, not Britica, not Frenchica, not Italica.
Not one person on this group was here for all the stuff that went on in the making of America, not one.
We need to live NOW and not yesterday.

Coumbus sailed in 1492 And found the Bahamas First and I THINK he explored Cuba at that time to.
It wasn't until his 4th voyage, Were he hit the AMERICAS (Not Present day America, The continent) I believe around the Southern tip of Mexico (Panama)?
He never ever, ever landed anywhere in the USA.
