I have listened to the news and to just about everyone on the house bill 1804. Just this moring on the broadcast I hear about employers who are willing to pay illegals cash money, therefore not paying FICA & FUTA taxes. Well my opinion on that is I am a American Citizen and I can't tell you how many times I have been asked to work for cash under the table. I know of many women,who are American Citzens, that have cleaning businessess and receive cash for their services. They do not claim there income so that way they don't have to pay taxes on what they recieve. It's not just illegals its Americans as well. I am tired of hearing people blaming all of this on illegals. Illegals have to pay taxes. They can not walk into a store and walk out without paying taxes. When they purchase a house or a car they pay taxes. When they get there tags for the vehicles they pay taxes. If anything our goverment is making money. Illegals are working with many dependents and don't file taxes when they receive their 1099's. They would more likely receive refunds but being they don't file who keeps that money that is taken out of there paychecks?

 I also heard not to long ago Sheriff Glanz stating that there will be not raids. The most concern is people who are in our jails. Well that would be fine but it's not true. Just yesterday there was a raid at Walmart on Admiral. They also raided a constrution site on Admiral street where 20 people were taken. I do agree if a criminal is not legal he/she should be deported, but not innocent people. I believe it will turn into so many people discriminating against others.

I think it would have been fair to offer some type of amnesty or something to offer these people that have been here for so long to give them a chance before making them loose all that they have and all they have worked for.

People say that they are taking advantage of the welfare system. Well I can not tell you how many Americans are doing that now! You see so many women who are on welfare but still have men living with them while they are receiving assistance. I know personally many that do take advantage of our welfare system and they are not illegal. Some even work for cash and still receive assitance.

Oklahoma needs to focus on so many other things than this bill. Just for instance our emergency rooms. My mother was taking by ambulance to a locally popular hospital. We waited for 4 1/2 hrs. with her in the hall way on a bed and not be attended. We made the decision to take her out of there because we could not get no one to help her. Luckily she was ok. This was on a Sat. that she was taken to the E.R. I asked the nurse if this was a busy day for them and she said not this is a typical day. So I am thinking if this is just a typical day what would happen if our city would need medical emergency response? You see the fire dept., police dept. practicing procedures in case there were ever any state emergency but in reality if there were such a thing so many people would die due to lack of medical response. Oklahoma needs to wake up and focus on so many other issues that are more important to our citizens. Our bridges are falling and still nothing is being done!!!

I think this bill is such a big mistake. We won't see the loss now but we will be losing so much because of this ridiculos bill. I hope and pray that something will be done to stop this bill because our communities will be losing. Also we need to stop blaming illegals for frauding when in reality American's are they ones that are taking from us not them.

 

 

Lets just cut to the chase. If you are here illegally it is now time for you to go. Paying sales tax is not the same as paying property tax and income tax so there is a huge difference. As far sa the sheriffs conducting a raid for H.B 1804 it does not go into action until Nov. 1. So what ever the raid was for they are doing their jobs and good on them. Now if you do agree that all criminals should be deported than you should have no problem with H.B. 1804. Because as soon as someone enters this country illegally they have just become a criminal. ( Now get on the bus and go home. )

Offer amnesty to people who are here illegally and taking money out of my pocket, costing me more money in taxes breaking the budget of the state and making legal citizens wait for hours in the emergency rooms at the hospitals. NO THANKS!!!!

Yes I understand that there are Americans that are taking advantage of social services and milking the system for all it is worth, and I hope they are caught and punished for it and not allowed to get any assistance from that point on. The big difference is, they were legal citizens to start with and legally met the requirements for the service.

I had the misfortune to be in the Emergency room at Hillcrest this weekend. The waiting room was packed and no telling how long we would have to wait to be seen by the staff. 3 TPD officers walked in and several people got up and left. Same thing happened 45 min. later when some deputies walked in, more people walked out. I’m sure that just saved me several more hours of waiting and saved the state a ton of money.

Think of all the money the state and city would have if they were not spending it on illegal immigrants. I do believe our roads, bridges and schools would be in a lot better shape.

Now if you still believe that Americans are taking from the Hispanic community and exploiting them, you should form an organization to help raise money to get them back to their home country.

Now if the Tulsa police department and Tulsa county sheriffs office were doing their jobs. They we be at all the scheduled rallies against H.B. 1804 and start the round up today.

Illegals do not pay for tags on cars and they almost never buy a car from a dealer which means they pay no taxes. When they buy a house it is usually purchased by a legal immigrant who lets all their illegal family members and friends live in the house. When they receive a pay check, it is not a check it is cash so where do you get that they would probably receive a tax refund. If you are paid in cash that means there are no taxes withheld. That is why they pay in cash. NO jobs for legal citizens means no taxes are collected from employers because it is illegal to hire illegal immigrants even before HB1804, so they never claim these people as employees. If the employers pay no taxes then the states has no money to fix roads and bridges. The law enforcment in Oklahoma isn't doing enough to bust and deport these people. The sheriffs department is supposed to be acting as Immigration officials, but are they no. To give amnesty to any illegal immigrant would be wrong. If a immigrant wants to come here legaly then they will receive legal amnesty. The police need to be standing by at these rallies that the illegals are having and round them up and deport any illegal immigrant that is there. It does not matter if they commit a crime or not because they have already committed a felony by sneaking across the U.S. border. Since they have already committed a crime why should we have to wait around untill somebody is murdered, robbed, raped, or until they are caught selling drugs. I don't think there are enough raids in Oklahoma, if you look at any major city in the United States, (ie: Los Angeles, Pittsburgh, Chicago, New York) and no Ok City and Tulsa are not major cities, they hold raids on a regular basis and they work. This is why Oklahoma is know as a safe haven for illegal immigrants. And now as far as welfare goes, if a American abuses the system that is their right to do so, NOT SAYING IT IS RIGHT, but that is because they are an American citizen. NOW for the remarks on how Oklahomans need to wakeup, if we do not do anything about the illegal immigrants then how do you expect to pay for roads and bridges to be fixed. If we continue to allow them to work and live here then we will drive are younger workforce out of Oklahaoma because there will be no jobs. I can honestly say this is a true fact being only 24. THINK about this Oklahoma - younger OK citizens = No tax money to fix raods and bridges | Oklahoma + Illegal Aliens = No tax money for raods and bridges. Geuss what if we raid them and seize all their things, we can sell it and use the money towards are roads and bridges. AS YOUNGER LEGAL CITIZENS graduate form highschool or college they leave Oklahoma because there is not enough jobs , and not because there are not enough businesses here, but because the illegals are comming in and working for $5.00 an hour and taking all the jobs. Sorry your mother had to go to the E.R., glad she is ok, but the hospitals here are not run by the state they are privately owned, so please don't try and make it out to be a government  problem. If people here would wise up and only go to hospitals that are run by the state government the privately owned ones would disappear. We a citizens need to stand up and tell the St. Johns and St. francis's to get out. SOUTHCREST is also owned by private investers called doctors. If there was an emergency the state government would be the ones responding not these privately owned hospitals. People may be taken to these hospitals, but in a state of emergency the state would come in and take over the local hospitals until the emergency was over. And please don't respond stating look at what happened in Louisiana because the government wanted to help but there governor did not file for assitance for two weeks.

This Bill will not make us lose anything, hopefully it will send a message to illegals that we are no longer  allow them to ruin are economy and take all the jobs from the younger generation. The illegal aliens are defrauding us by not paying taxes. I do not believe in giving government assitance to people for extended periods of time, but if an American Citizen defrauds the welfare system it is their right to do so. AGAIN NOT SAYING IT IS RIGHT, and those people should be prosecuted also, BUT IT IS THEIR RIGHT AS AN AMERICAN CITIZEN.

Try and educate yourself some other way like actually researching the issue at hand. It's actually quite simple, if you are here illegaly you are breaking the law and it's time to take the free ride home.  I have a friend who is an illegal and I will be sad to see him go, but the law is the law.

well samy if your goverment is spending all this money sending illegals back to their countries, you would not have nobody to fix your roads and your bridges cause no one is willing to do them because of the low pay and they will have to be out in the hot or cold weather. also i dont think if you were to volenteer to do this job, you wouldn't wake up at 5 in the morning right?  also your talking about illegals asking for welfare benifits, in case you dont know, benifits are for their kids, if their children are born in the u.s. they have the right to ask for the benifits, i have seen alot of americans who are big and strong to work and are in line at dhs asking for assistance. i am an american, and i feel petty for this worthless people.  as a tax payer i belive they should find a job and start earning money the hard way, and stop having kids just for the hell of it. so its not only illegals that are taking advantage.  how is it by offering an amnesty to my people or any illegal immigrant affecting your pocket? its affecting any tax payer.  so stop crying. you talk about forming an organization to collect money to send my people home, what do you want to open a bank account to do so? not all illegals are criminals, the goverment should have more concern on child abusers and rapist and all those that commit real crimes and put them in the gas chamber.

First of all the jobs pay low wages because the illegals have drove the wages down. All the american citizens are asking for is a proper wage to do those jobs. I don't think that a company should be allowed to get by by turning away americans who are only asking for a fair payrate, just to hire an illegal that will work for minimum wage or less.
 
Secondly, I pay taxes and work and I still can't afford health care.I have worked in pharmacies and I have seen more illegal immigrants come in and get their medication for free, then I have any american citizen. I was also at one point injured and unable to work. I tried to get assistance so I could see a Dr. and was basically told that since I was a white male in my 20's I did not qualify for assistance from the state. At the same time there was a hispanic family sitting there getting everything paid for and they didn't know how to speak word of english. You say you have seen plenty of big and strong peolpe who can work in line, well why are you in there or did you open your mouth before you thought about it.

Third of all, if we give amnesty to people who are here illegaly what does that say to the people who did what the had to to came here legaly.

as a matter of fact idiot i do work and have a GOOD paying job, i have NEVER asked for no benifits because i can afford it, STOP blaming illegals for your disgrace. if i say that i've seen STRONG people thats because i used to work up their. i have a masters degree see you say your in your mid 20's and still cant afford health insurance, WELL FIND A BETTER JOB! theres many ways to get health insuarance. i understand the word illegal, i'm not stupid, i agree if you cross illegaly to the U.S. thats commiting a crime, but please mexicans are not terrorist. when have you heard a mexican blowing off a goverment building or blowing up planes? i'm not asking to support illegals but try to understand them, they are hard working people and they just come to work, i also agree that police should take the bad people home, because they give this people a bad name.
