I feel that some legal immigrants still don't know the English language, where as some are elderly and it's harder for them to learn it. I also feel that with so many entering America, would cause a huge problem. But, I still feel that they need to at least  learn enough, to learn the laws and how to address different issues they may need, etc. filling out any drivers license or job applications. Maybe they should be required to purchase a book, so they can see what our laws are, that should be a requirment for any immigrant, entering another country, then it would be less of a problem for them. It wouldn't cost the government or the people anything, since the immigrant would be paying for the book. That would solve so many problems. I'm glad it didn't pass either., also the VOTE ID, why should we use an ID to beable to vote?, yes, to see if we're legal, I can see that. But show your driver's license when you vote. All of these new types of ID's will let the government know more about us, as Americans, do we want them to know everything about us, or are we a FREE NATION? Actually, from what I read.  Many states have already adopted the ENglish only law.  Not all states are English only.  Yea, America is predominately English but it's not English only.

I already emailed Inhofe, Sullivan and Coburn exactly how I felt about this bill.  I was telling my hubby about how they wanted to take the dl test from being in Spanish.  He laugh and said "Well when I took it it was in English and I didn't know many of the terms, but I guessed at it"  I'm like dang and you passed on the first try, when some Americans don't.  He said he would read the answers and pick the best one according to what he thought was being asked.  So it didn't matter to him one way or another.  I do believe there are elderly people that would be effected with this.

Not to insult Terrill but my stepdad would always say "pa *** no se estudia y salen maestros"  "You don't study to be stupid, but you can become a teacher of stupidity"  WOW was he so right.

Anyways this English only is just bunch of BS.  What will happen when a diplomat comes to visit our great state and he needs an interpeter.  Terrill wants people to believe that he is only going after the "illegals" but in reality he wants all minorities.  I didn't like Rivera comparing this state to Hitler, but after seeing, hearing and reading, he can be compared to maybe the begining of Hitler.

Well lets see what the next wave of hate has instore for the Hispanics.

Should we learn other languages, YES.
Should we tailor to The "McDonalds People" NO! You can't have it your way.
I made a trip to Okinawa years ago, I had at least the courtesy to learn enough of the lanquage to communicate.
When I was thinking about going to Mexico, I started to learn the Langauge to communicate.
It is called COMMON COURTESY, and we should all learn it.
