It just amazes me how everyone wants to just 'overlook' the fact that there are already immigration laws.  I think those who are for illegal aliens staying here should foot the bill.  Don't tax the rest of us.  Another thing that seems to be overlooked is the fact that most of the illegals don't want to live here.  They only want to come here and work.  They send their money back home to Mexico, and get out of here as soon as they can.  This is why they don't want to assimilate into American culture.  This is why they refuse to learn English.  Aliens who came here many years ago did it the right way.  America has no beef with people who come here.....legally.  If you come here legally, embrace the culture, work, pursue the American dream.  If you come here illegally, be prepared for the resistance you're meeting now.  This would be any illegal alien....not just Mexicans.

abbynormal001 thankyou for bringing up the race card issue. The race card has been played out and has been since the 60's and 70's. I mean come on people, the issue has nothing to do with race since illegal immigrants come all countries. It just so happens that the majority of them are from Mexico.

Also, I can see both sides of the coin here. Yeah, if you are illegal and you come over and take advantage of health care and other bennies that doesn't seem right..... IF you are sitting on your *** with 50 thousand kids living on the gov'mnt cheese. (Gee.... didn't that describe SEVERAL races?) If you are working your buns off and trying to abide by the law and so forth and so on. The only thing that makes you different is where you were born.

i think those that are illegal should wave all beniffit except employment for 25 years

Before saying such a heartless thing as this one, we have to look back and think about all the times that we were served by these "ILLEGALS" that Oklahoma is trying to get rid of now.  Let's be honest we all became "LAW BREAKERS" when we accepted them to clean, serve and work for us. The truth of the matter is that Oklahoma is going thru an ethnic cleansing and that they are targeting Hispanics Only. They are separating AMERICAN CITIZEN from their parents and they are breaking families.  What amaizes me the most is that Oklahoma is one of the most Religious states and they have churches on every block. However, it is the only state that has passed such a heartless law.  Do you think that God would want to break a family apart because one of the parents is illegal?.   Do you think that when Jesus comes he is going to ask us for our papers? Do you think that Jesus would let and unborn child die because the mother can not get treatment?.   It is disgusting to see how everyone in Oklahoma says they are a Christian, yet they treat Immigrants like trash that it can be thrown out. I would have expected this from any other state other than Oklahoma.....

The most heartbreaking thing about this would be the children. These kids aren't at fault. Some of their parents have been here forever. They are being ripped out of schools and put in situations where everything around them completely changes. Some parents are splitting up with hopes of meeting up later. It's really sad for the kids out there.

The "powers that be" say they won't target people who look Hispanic and what not. I doubt it. No matter where you turn there is always some jerk about two steps from throwing on a KKK hoodie and trying to make a statement. I have a Hispanic background and am completely legal. I worry about stero types too. I don't look as Hispanic as some of my family though.

That poll says it all. If you were to do a national poll I believe you would get the same results. I'm am just glad Oklahome is leading the way here.  Maybee our federal government will take notice and do the same.
