QUEENSRYCHE TO PERFORM OPERATION: MINDCRIME IN ITS ENTIRETY AT ROCKLAHOMA

PRYOR, OK— On Sunday, July 13th in Pryor, Oklahoma, Queensryche (Geoff Tate, Michael Wilton, Eddie Jackson, Scott Rockenfield and Mike Stone) will hit the stage to perform their 1988 concept album, Operation: Mindcrime, from beginning to end in its entirety. The epic theatrical presentation will cover all fifteen songs from the album including such fan favorites as "Revolution Calling," "Operation: Mindcrime," "I Don't Believe In Love" and the closing track, "Eyes Of A Stranger." The band's headlining performance of Operation: Mindcrime at this year's four-day Rocklahoma festival will celebrate the 20th Anniversary of the release and will be the only performance of its type in the United States this year. Last year, the band released Mindcrime at the Moore, a double DVD featuring the theatrical performances of both Operation: Mindcrime I & II albums that debuted at 1 on the Billboard Music DVD Chart. It marked the band's first 1 chart debut. In addition to Mindcrime, fans in attendance at Rocklahoma this July can expect an encore performance of well-known hits from other albums in the band's illustrious career now spanning 25 years.

On Thursday, May 8th, the band will begin their tour of South America, Europe and the United Kingdom on a trek that will ultimately last throughout most of the summer.

For more info, please see the band's official website at www.queensryche.com.

Over 96 bands will be performing on three giant stages over the four days.

Although the current lineup is subject to change as bands are added in the upcoming week, Rocklahoma's current scheduled lineup on the main stage is as follows:

Thursday marks the opening night and kicks off with Bret Michaels, Sebastian Bach, Dokken, LA Guns featuring Tracii Guns, Enuf Z Nuff, Vain, House of Lords and Jet Boy. Only guests who purchase three-day tickets will be allowed to see this show.

Friday will feature Triumph, Extreme, Lita Ford, Night Ranger, Living Colour, Kingdom Come, Armored Saint and XYZ.

Saturday's performance will include Cinderella, The reunited Warrant, Kix, Lynch Mob, Trixter, Black N Blue, Tora Tora, Every Mother's Nightmare and Pretty Boy Floyd.

Sunday's final lineup consists of Queensryche performing Operation: Mindcrime, Tesla, TBA, UFO, Zebra, Beautiful Creatures and Axe.

An additional sixty bands are going to be playing on two giant side stages courtesy of Retrospect Records and

    Tri-Label Group.

Rocklahoma is the world's largest Rock Festival of its type featuring bands from the eighties.  Attendance for the upcoming festival has sold tickets in all fifty states and over fifteen different countries.

This event will be located four miles north of Pryor, OK, off Highway 69. The Catch the Fever facilities include over 6,200 assigned and numbered seats, as well as general admission on the lawn for over 50,000 people. The grounds also feature over 4,000 campsites, on-site parking, bathroom facilities, a convenience store, and overnight security provided by Mayes County Sheriff's Department. Rocklahoma will feature a Picture Alley that allows anyone in attendance to approach the stage during any performance and take photographs of a favorite artist at close range.

That's about the price for all 5 days for a ticket. That covers food and beverages (including beer), plus an enclosed tent that has AC to cool off in. You get good seating with that 5 day pass and there's other things that come with it, like meeting the bands and etc.

    I can't wait............ Cool

    Re: Rocklahoma Update

Shoot, $50 is well worth one day of rock and roll.  You are talking bands(and actual bands you hear on the radio) from 9am til past midnight.  Like I said, I went last year and got VIP.  Cost a little over $300.  They fed me 3 squares(great food too and as much as you want of it), unlimited drinks(alchohol and non-alcohol), meet the bands, camp spot, good seating.

I've got my rocklahoma pics from last year up on my myspace if anyone wants to check them out.  www.myspace.com/storm171977.

Shoot, this was a great deal last year and this year too(although I won't be going).

Yea, don't forget the pics.  I'd like to see some of Queensryche, Extreme and Tesla.  I haven't seen those bands of all that's going to be there.
