Just read an article which disturbed and saddened me to no end. According to the National Organization, Oklahoma is now number one per capita for childrens deaths due to child abuse, the numbers have increased by 41% from 1996-2005. That is almost a 50% increase.What does that say about us as citizens and humans? We are more concerned and complain more about the cost of gas, and spend more time discussing American Idol and the personal lives of movie stars more than the safety of kids in homes all over Oklahoma who are  being tortured and killed every day. I realize it is a real downer thinking about these kids, but maybe it is time we started speaking out a little more loudly and persistently, someone has to do something, and the kids can't do it themselves. It is up to us folks, it is our responsibility, we are the generation who has the ball right now, lets bring the game up another level. I have never organized anything like this, but we might start with a petition state wide, email, write and call our Legislators, Senators,Congressmen, and the Governor. Does anyone else have any ideas? If so , don't be shy, speak up, this is important, this has to be done now, I cannot continue to read about these innocent kids being killed because the system doesn't care enough to do anything.

It is extremely sad how adults can bring children into this world, and beat them or kill them. The is in those people. Call repeatedly to the NEWS station, request they investigate these issues.  Tonight on channel 6 @ 10.00p.m. they will air about DHS, that is an excellent place to begin also. What is really sad also, is people that leave children in cars in the heat and they die, but the parents aren't charged for any crimes, like last summer. Children can't defend their selves against MONSTERS. Oklahoma is suppose to be a BIBLE state, where are all of these HOLY Christians, when a child has been MURDERED, why don't they speak up, also? (cricket)
