 Lets cut to the chase here. I will break it down for some of you. The Hispanics who decide to come to this country and cross the border do so to work because either their families are so poor that they must risk their own life to put food on the table or for  a chance to maybe become a citizen and grasp the American dream. When they cross the border, they walk for days and nights in the desert. Some die. This is not a hike through a forest were there is plenty of water and shade. It is a hot, cold, dry and dangerous path just to come here and do the work that many Americans do not want to do. For example, dish washer, field worker, car washer, stacking rock, any hard labor job that requires being under the sun, in the cold and bending over and lifting more than 10 lbs at a time.

When they arrive they must seek a job. Door after discriminating door gets slammed in their faces. Until one day luck strikes. Now they have a job and possibly a place to live. What's next? Trying not to get caught. Living every single moment wondering if they will be grabbed and handcuffed and shackled off to a place were everyone speaks a different language and most of them are racist. A constant fear every second of the day. Praying that God allows them at least one more pay check to send home so their families can eat.

You are saying to yourself, why don't they enter "Legally"? The American Counsulate in Mexico, when they go to apply for a visa they must have money in the bank in Mexico and be a land owner and have relatives in the US who are financially established as well. In other words they have to be very well off to legally come across. In Mexico, you will not find hardley any families who have those availabilities, if they did , then why bother coming here to the US? Now you are thinking, "Well, Mexico's financial situation is not an American problem. Right? Well, America is the land of free. Most of us came from other countries to begin with. This country belongs to the Native Americans and the Mexicans.

Years go by and they can't see their families because if they go back home they will have to risk their lives to come back to the US. Things must be terrible in their country. I know I would not risk my life and leave my familiy to come to a country were I am treated like a slave and discriminated against just for the fun of it!! Everybody complains that the Hispanics (Illegal) don't have a drivers licences and insurance. If they were allowed to obtain those things, they would. Some of them work and never claim taxes even though they pay FICA, Medicare, and Gov & State Taxes. Where does all that money go? I know where, Bush's pocket. If we send every Hispanic worker back to their countries every American Citizen will pay more taxes, for food, produce, etc. There will be less production in this country. Less production means less money for the low- middle income population.

People complain that illegals are taking American jobs away from the citizens by working for less money. If I owened a factory and I have to produce a product that must be done in a consice manner. I would pay more to the person who could do the job correctly. Not who works the cheapest. If you hire someone who does very bad work but he works for a minimun salary you would not sell much of your product. However, if you hire someone who does a great job then you will have a successful business. So, if the Hispanics are taking the jobs away from anyone, it is because the do a better job.

The solution is so simple. Design a program to were the illegals can have a conditional stay in the US and pay the fee's associated with the application process for a two year stay period which in completion of the two years may apply for a four year conditional stay, meaning that during the two to four year stay period they must not be convicted of a crime (felony) and must pay taxes on time and present proof of such. After the four year conditional stay then they could be allowed to apply for citizenship. Now, after that we stop the arrivals of international terrorist by screening whomever lands at our airports,borders and by designing an electronic list of such individuals in a computer data program to were they would have to scan/clear/identify their prints with homeland security (FBI) in order to be allowed access to enter the US. This way we are all safe and everybody is happy.

Oklahoma and the 1804 bill, I really didn't expect much else from. It does not surprise me one bit that this type of bill would pass in O'KKK"lahoma. Look around, this a very rural area in the US were the population mainly consist of lower education generations. Generations upon generations of racism is a battle not to be won easily.

This is my problem how?  Am I supposed to feel bad because they CHOOSE to do this to themselves?  Am I supposed to say "ok, since you put it that way I'll change my mind"?  Am I supposed to be humbled?  All that does is make me angrier because you're trying to play on my sympathy.  I didn't ask them to come here and muck up the system.  I didn't ask them to come here and add to the crime rate, and I certainly didn't ask them to come here to drive up my taxes, insurance, health bills, and all that.  Besides, if you're a LEGAL, then you don't have to worry.  If you only HIRE LEGALS, then you don't have to worry.  If you are ILLEGAL, then you have to commit a FELONY crime before you get deported.  THEY DO NOT STOP YOU ON THE STREET AND DECIDE TO THROW YOUR BUTT BACK TO MEXICO!  Give me a break.......quit crying and deal with the fact that we have to control our borders NOW.  It's getting extremely out of hand.....I have a friend that works with a charity in Dallas, that has generations of Hispanics, and she says it's gotten so bad that they had to hire SECURITY because they are stealing and vandalising. 

So, quit trying to get me to feel sorry for them because of the crap they go through to sneak across the borders.  I don't feel sorry for people that choose to put themselves in harms way.

Tinuviel.. For your friend to even complain about a "Charity" function she works for to you or anyone is uterly redicules! Seems like your friend is in the wrong line of work. If a person decides to donate time and energy to a charity cause it should be from the heart. How sad.

AlienPeace...two things:

1.  Everytime I turn around there's some bleeding heart story on how hard the illegals have it coming here, sneaking across the border, people dying..blah blah blah....which is directed to the soft hearted to feel sorry for them so they gain some sympathy points so they get supporters......etc. etc. etc.  So yes, they are directed to me to feel sorry for those who put themselves in harms way.  You don't know me, so don't assume I have issues to work through.  I donate plenty of time to charities and causes, I donate my money, I do what I can to give back.  But when I get people playing on my sympathy because they are here ILLEGALLY, and wanting me to help them and give them free health care and foodstamps and things our LEGAL families needs, I get a little ticked off because THEY PUT THEMSELVES IN THAT POSITION TO BEGIN WITH!  So no...I do not feel sorry for them!

2.  My friend that helps with the charity in Dallas wasn't "complaining" and she's done more good than you ever could to help the illegal population down there.  She was just relating the fact that they've had to hire security because the crime around them has gotten so bad (and it's a primarily hispanic neighborhood with a good percent of them being here illegally).   And if you actually read and understood my statements instead of picking and choosing out of context you'd realize what was said.  That charity gives what they can, but the people there want more and think they deserve more so the go and steal it FROM THE CHARITY.  So, they had to hire security......that's utterly rediculous and sad!

The biggest argument is why didnt they just come over legally. If the us would make that possible than I am sure they would. If I recall the us was built on immigration and there is no such thing a a true american. We stole this country from the indians and the mexicans. Forced them out of there homes made them feel like they were worthless. I am not saying open the doors and and let people come and go as they please. Make it possoble for someone to come to this counrty legally. Dont punish the ones that are here that are trying to support their families they dont get into trouble with the lwas. Have you seen the Border between Mexico and the U.S.?  Ripped shirts, plastic bottles, diapers, backpacks, food wrappers, dead bodies. We may be "Lazy" but we don't feel it necessary to pick up others peoples trash either.

If Mexico is so great they would have enough "Yobs" for there own people.

I completely agree with you I'm from Muskogee and our law enforcement officials keep saying that they aren't just after everybody, but yet listening to the majority if the officers talk everyday frightens me. Many of them need to watch what words come out of their mouth because even if the illegal immigrants can't sue or get legal aid, many of the Hispanic people and "anyone who looks hispanic" have resources to take legal action. Many of my friends and family are leaving the state, not because they are illegal, but the promises of many ignorant officers, who say that "We don't care. If they look fu***** Mexican, we're gonna get their *****." Now I am aware that may just all be talk, having grown up in a town where the officers talk big because it makes them feel important but really won't do anything, but it doesn't make it right.

I worked in a convenience store for two years. One night a group of drunk men claiming to be Klan members came into the store asking where the black people where in this town. I tried to let the police know, but they thought I was making this up. But I guarantee if you call them today and tell them there is an illegal immigrant at that store they will be there in ten seconds. We have so many better things the law enforcement officers could be doing, like catching bad guys. It's sad that with the shape our schools are in now that they are going to be wasting time and money on this.

I have listened to the news and to just about everyone on the house bill 1804. Just this moring on the broadcast I hear about employers who are willing to pay illegals cash money, therefore not paying FICA & FUTA taxes. Well my opinion on that is I am a American Citizen and I can't tell you how many times I have been asked to work for cash under the table. I know of many women,who are American Citzens, that have cleaning businessess and receive cash for their services. They do not claim there income so that way they don't have to pay taxes on what they recieve. It's not just illegals its Americans as well. I am tired of hearing people blaming all of this on illegals. Illegals have to pay taxes. They can not walk into a store and walk out without paying taxes. When they purchase a house or a car they pay taxes. When they get there tags for the vehicles they pay taxes. If anything our goverment is making money. Illegals are working with many dependents and don't file taxes when they receive their 1099's. They would more likely receive refunds but being they don't file who keeps that money that is taken out of there paychecks?

 I also heard not to long ago Sheriff Glanz stating that there will be not raids. The most concern is people who are in our jails. Well that would be fine but it's not true. Just yesterday there was a raid at Walmart on Admiral. They also raided a constrution site on Admiral street where 20 people were taken. I do agree if a criminal is not legal he/she should be deported, but not innocent people. I believe it will turn into so many people discriminating against others.

I think it would have been fair to offer some type of amnesty or something to offer these people that have been here for so long to give them a chance before making them loose all that they have and all they have worked for.

People say that they are taking advantage of the welfare system. Well I can not tell you how many Americans are doing that now! You see so many women who are on welfare but still have men living with them while they are receiving assistance. I know personally many that do take advantage of our welfare system and they are not illegal. Some even work for cash and still receive assitance.

Oklahoma needs to focus on so many other things than this bill. Just for instance our emergency rooms. My mother was taking by ambulance to a locally popular hospital. We waited for 4 1/2 hrs. with her in the hall way on a bed and not be attended. We made the decision to take her out of there because we could not get no one to help her. Luckily she was ok. This was on a Sat. that she was taken to the E.R. I asked the nurse if this was a busy day for them and she said not this is a typical day. So I am thinking if this is just a typical day what would happen if our city would need medical emergency response? You see the fire dept., police dept. practicing procedures in case there were ever any state emergency but in reality if there were such a thing so many people would die due to lack of medical response. Oklahoma needs to wake up and focus on so many other issues that are more important to our citizens. Our bridges are falling and still nothing is being done!!!

I think this bill is such a big mistake. We won't see the loss now but we will be losing so much because of this ridiculos bill. I hope and pray that something will be done to stop this bill because our communities will be losing. Also we need to stop blaming illegals for frauding when in reality American's are they ones that are taking from us not them.
