Our Perspective On This Stroy
Some might think it’s the way to get rich quickly—though not legally. In the beginning I don’t think my photographer, John Gibson, or I realized just how good casinos are at catching cheaters.
When you sit down at a blackjack or poker table, it doesn’t feel like you have dozens of eyes focused on you. It’s easy to get lost in the game and forget anyone other than a few players and the dealer are watching. But after reporting this story, I will never make that mistake again.
Everyone is watching, every second of every day. It’s just not possible to cheat repeatedly and get away with it. The casino experts we interviewed aren’t just great at the games, they can read your body language better than your spouse. If you usually sit arms crossed but start scratching your head before you win big, they take that as a sign. It could be a sign you’re giving to another player to fold. How these guys know what’s a cheat sign and what is simply your head itching is all part of their skill.
The identities of cheaters also shocked us. Cheaters can be celebrities, rich players or poor players. They can be people who already won big or those who lost everything.
Before starting this story I thought, “surely cheaters get away with it sometimes.” I suppose it’s possible they do every once in a while, but I’m convinced the experts watching the cameras will eventually catch you. And I hope they do!
What should happen to casino cheaters? Would you care if someone at your table cheated? Were you surprised by the high power cameras and techniques casino experts use?
Let me know and don’t forget to watch our full story MONDAY AT NINE ON FOX23 NEWS.

Anybody hear about the poker dealer who cheated the bad beat jackpot at Osage?
They caught him on camera setting up the deck so his friend would win the bad beat, AND IT WORKED! Dude cashed $14,000 that night. That is until the casino got suspiscious because that was the 4th bad beat jackpot that the dealer has dealt. They busted his butt!!

Re: Our Perspective On This Stroy
one question jace...who is watching to make sure the casinos are not cheating?...like rigging the slot machines or using marked decks and such...is there any independent third party watching the casino operators?

The "Big Time Cheaters" are the casinos. About their "slots" which are nothing more than the newer versions of the old "one arm bandits" they do nothing more than steal peoples money. Let me explain. In the old days when the criminals in the casinos put weights in the drums of the slot machines this wascalled "Cheating" or rigging the machine. Well, what's the difference when they have these computerized machines that they can set to pay out as much or as little as they want. Yes, I did see to story on the History Channel about the new slot machines and about "micro chips that randomly pick the numbers but that is a bunch of "bull" because on all of the machines they have, you can get a free spin and that spin has to be larger than the spin you just got. So the machine can pick the numbers it wants. They also can limit the number of free spins a person can get. So that means they can set their machines to pay out as little or as much as they want so there is no real chance or luck involved except if you get a machine that has collected its limit and is scheduled to pay out some. Now, with all of that said, what really pisses me off is when I hear that the casino has been fined on several occasions by the gambling commision for not paying out what they are bound by law to do. This, is nothing more than stealing. And what of the fine, this is nothing to them because they are stealing millions from us. So what do we get, the ones they steal the money from? Nothing! In the old days people when to jail for this and were called criminals, but now they call them "Chief" leader of their people. Why does no one look into this or do anything about it?

Re: Our Perspective On This Stroy
I try to stay out of the casinos. It's like going to the Tulsa State Fair... a white trash convention. Bleh!

Wow, I wish I was as smart as you tjardine. You seem to have the whole thing figured out, you should probably run for the senate or congress, you could shut those "cheating Injuns" down quick! I don't gamble, but I can tell you I have knowledge of how the casinos operate, and their business practices. First of all, you cannot cheat with computers, they use random number generators, you can't program that, that is why it is called random, second, the Tribal Casinos are run much more honestly than the ones in Las Vegas, Reno, Lake Tahoe and Nawlins, I used to play blackjack a lot, quit when I decided to get married about 34 years ago. The Casinos are only required by the state to pay out a certain percentage to education, in addition to this, they also give millions to fire departments, schools, roads, bridges and other worthy causes which they don't really have to, they spread a lot of money around the communities. They do not take kickbacks, the profit would not be worth what they would stand to lose, the security officers are not even allowed to pick up a coin off the floor or money of any denomination, they lose their job if they do, they must call for a casino official to pick it up. You are on camera, being recorded from the time you drive into the lot, until you leave, there are cameras and eyes in the sky everywhere except the restrooms, most of the security officers are just regular security officers, some are retired law enforcement, there are some who are trained observers, to even work security in Tribal Casinos you must have an Able Commission license, pass a test, and three background investigations, Local, County Sheriff Dept, and OSBI, plus fingerprinting. The public has no idea how strictly the Tribal Casinos are regulated, although some people would like for us to believe they know.As for those decks of cards, they are imprinted, there is no way to mark them, they are opened at the table, and used once. There is a lot of misconception and erroneous information being bandied about by these folks, I guess Indians are acceptable as long as they are poor, ignorant downtrodden clowns, but the minute they start prospering, these dumb a&&es start flapping their pie hole about stuff they have no knowledge of. It all comes down to this, people who don't have the intelligence to understand that gambling is just that, and go out and lose money and then want to bad mouth the tribal casinos just need to stay out of them, no one is coming to your house dragging you to a casino, you have a choice, if you can't handle losing, don't gamble, it is that simple.

Two things....
One: The free spin payout is not regulated to be bigger than the original win. I do go to the casinos alot, and I can tell you, they are not rigged as the losers and the ones that get all cry baby about losing their money like to think. If you like your money so much, don't gamble. I am fortunate enough to be able to blow a few bucks at the casino and it not be crippling to my budget as some people in the casino do. Very rarely do I go into a casino with less money than I went in with. I know when to quit and I know that when I win, when to leave so I don't end up giving it all back.
Two: People that don't understand, look for reasons to hate or make up things to make it look bad. I'm sick of people that always think they know what they are talking about when in fact, they don't. I know an ex security guard that worked at Creek. He said the people inside the casino are who you need to watch. Creek is the only one that doesn't have a "No Loitering" policy inside the casino, so anyone can come in, hang out, and rip you off if you're not paying attention. At the other casinos, if they notice you just hanging around "lurking" they'll escort you out. He also said that if you bring a purse in, don't leave it open, or sitting in the floor (even if it's closed), better just leave it at home, or locked up safely in your car (not the trunk either...they break into those if they think you got something in there).
If you don't understand it, research it and learn about it. Don't assume and make up stuff because it makes you look like a *****.
Hahaha....it censored m o r o n!!!

Scidflog:I have no problem with people griping about the casinos. There is nothing wrong with someone complaining about how much money the casinos are taking from them. I understand it's a decision to gamble but c'mon, u should let people complain without chastising them for crying out loud.
Don't have a problem with anyone complaining about how much they lost, that just means they were dumb enough to throw their money away on gambling, it is the accusation of the casinos and the Chief being theives and criminals that I object to, I am Native American, and I resent comments such as that, when we are born we are required to sign a document stating that we will defend our tribe and people whenever, wherever anyone tells falsehoods, threatens or makes false accusations about us, otherwise, I wouldn't even mention it.

I agree there's people in those places that have absolutely no business being in there whatsoever!
When I go to Creek, on certain nights I see mentally retarded people in there! Like 4 or 5 of them! I'm like whoa!
I have the means to go and play in places like that, but if you're dipping into your rent or bill money to gamble on....you seriously need to stay home or get some help. I can honestly say if I ever hit a point where I don't have this income anymore...I'd never step foot in one again.
