I don't know if it is just me, but I hate to turn on the news anymore, I can take the stories of mans inhumanity to man as long as they are adults, but it seems  more and more everyday innocent babies and kids are falling victim to parents or other adults and being brutally abused and murdered for no reason. Are you all as distressed and bothered about this as I am? Why do you think this is happening so much now? Is it possible to stop it?  What can we do to stop it? One of my favorite quotes is by Joan Ganz Cooney; "Cherishing children is the mark of a civilized society", what does that say about the US?

Mom Kills Alleged Possessed Six Year Old Daughter
Lake County, IL. - 25 year old Nelly Vasquez-Salazar is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the death of her only child, Evelyn - Age 6.
Vasquez-Salazar told the police that her daughter recently began sleepwalking which led her to believe that she was possessed by a demon.
Prosecutor Steve Scheller said "She was an intelligent, vibrant, beautiful little girl. She was, in fact, an angel." A judge has set the bail at $5 Million.


What the hell is wrong with people?

I don't know but anyone knows of any abuse goin on and it's goin to court.  You can call BACA.  BACA(Bikers Against Child Abuse) will accompany the child to court and give the suspect dirty looks throughout the whole proceedings.  Then, while the suspect is out.  Assigned BACA riders will drive up and down the street that the suspect lives on and some even go as far as camping out on their own lawn.  They really give them a hard time throughout the proceedings so that they can't try and intimidate the child.

Then, when they go to prison you'll have nothing to worry about.  It doesn't matter if they go in there saying that they are there for drugs.  Prisoners have a way of finding out and they are treated a "CERTAIN" way.  I have 3 uncles in prison.  They are always asking me so I'm guessing that civilian talk is one of the ways they find out.

well, and the fact that some have a TV in their cells too helps.

I blame most of the abuse to children, not only to the stupid parents that are cruel to their children, but I also blame the DHS. One time I called DHS repeatedly because my neighbor, not only allowed her children outside after 11:00 p.m. alone, (they were 3 and 5 yrs. of age), because she had a party or some guy at her place, she didn't feed her children much, never gave them baths, one was so scared, she screamed when she was near water, but I seen the mom stomp on her 5 yr. olds stomach. I called the DHS several times, trying to get them to check on the children, no response.  So I went to the church with my info.  The church phoned DHS, it took 2 months before DHS showed up, they did remove the children. This is why so many parents, or others kill innocent children.  When a child is killed, the person should get life w/o parole, they should never be allowed around any children. I could never forgive anyone that hurts a child.(cricket)

  I wish I knew.......heard a minister talking about end times prophecy, it might be a coincidence, but some of the things he was reading from Revelations....discribing technology we only now have......kind of scary....
