    Re: My un-neighborly neighbors

We had a very nice, quiet golden lab several years ago..our neighbors had a rat problem (we think they moved over when all of the construction was happening at the old CMC) and they poisoned the rats.  Our great dog ate one of the poisoned rats.  After a year or so, we got three border collie pups (one for each child).  They do bark a lot.  After a threatening note we had them neutered (you should do that anyway, unless you plan to breed). Neutering didn't help any with the barking.  They are great dogs, though.  Now we are down to two, because the eldest daughter took hers when she moved out.

BEST FREAKIN IDEA EVER BAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Woot woot! I am gonna get an aircan for my loud neighbor upstairs. I bet that stuff sounds great going thru a vent. *grin* My neighbor upstairs is a nightmare.

Tega, Tega, Tega, I am an old hand at gettign even with nighbors.

Buy one Bass piano string (The lowest note you can, High Quality Wire).
    Buy one LARGE Penny nail.
Get a thick stick and a butter knife.
Since you have a vent, I would go through the vent.

Wrap the wire a few times tightly around the nail. Make sure you hit a stud or good piece of wood for stability. If you can punch through wood, then the vent, all the better.

Wrap other end around the stick and pull tightly. Take  the butter knife and run the back side, gently across the string. This will reverberate the vent and or wall badly.

The sound is similiar to chewing on Aluminum foil while someone is scratching there nails across a chalk board and zapping you with a stun gun.

If done properly you can easily hide the wire and play stupid, to give you years of entertainment.

    Freakin McGyvur over there, lol.

I seriously hate to be "that" person, but.....

The people who live behind me have 3 pit bulls that bark incessantly!  All through the night and whenever my two little dogs or I go out in the back yard.  Through the privacy fence I can hear that their barks and growls are not friendly!  I feel bad for them because the owners never take them inside... even in the snow and rain!  When my husband was up fixing the roof he didn't see any dog houses in the yard and the dogs acted very aggressive to him.  Any suggestions on what I should do?

    Also....

I live in a nice neighborhood, but the people across the street are kinda strange and I have reason to believe that there might be some drug trafficing going on!  We live in a cult-a-sac and you wouldn't believe the amount of people that come and turn around in the cult-a-sac (sp?) at all hours of the night, they live on the corner when you first enter.  I know the occasional turn around should be expected, but this is constant, it's like a drive thru every night!  Any ideas on what to do about this?  There are children in this area and i would hate for some drug brawl to go down in the street and a child to get hurt.

Any ideas would be helpful!  Thank you!

its spelled Culd-de-sac, not much to do with the turn arounds in the culd-de-sac cause thats what those are designed for. as for the dogs you can call the police, it wont really do much but it gets there attention when the police show up. had the same problem with a dog barking all hours of the night. so i decided to confront the neighbor and that actually helped the problem. Might try calling animal control.
