Hey FOX23 , this would be a great investigative report for your station.  This is a story that a lot of people would be interested in and it affects everyone.  Maybe do a weeklong observation and see how often their postman delivers and what he does.  This is a great opputunity.

    I got a P.O. Box today, GRRRRRRR.

They can ask anyone on the street about the utter incompantance of this guy.

And to think, the price of stamps just keeps going up.

I worked for the P.O for a short time, they tell you in class that their not allowed to actually make any money, whatever they make, they have to turn back into the business for improvement, and they can only make so much profit even for that. I don't know, it sounded funny to me.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

Here's a cool little update on the P.O. Box.

I have been calling my Dr's, Friends, Social Security and places of services here in Tulsa, changing my address to my P.O. box.
A few business's here in Tulsa have said this is becoming a very common experience, in Tulsa, mail is not being delivered even though the address is correct.
So, even though people are reporting it, it is blatantly being ignored. Someday, they are really going to hose someone over and they are going to go "Postal". Everyone is going to look like a Deer caught in the headlights, and say, "What happened"?????????

Lol, then it will be in the news.

So, our rural postal guy is some old, err, flatulence.  When he's got a certified letter, he doesn't knock on your door.  He pulls up in front of the house and starts honking his horn like crazy.  One day he couldn't even be bothered to do that, and just put a slip in the mailbox for us to come pick up our mail.  Ridiculous.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

    Well I totaled it up.
This post man has cost me approximately $12,000 so far.
I was going to go fishing today but can't because my leg is inflamed and in pain, as I still can't get all of my meds.
Yes, I could get a day pass and go all over the county of Tulsa applying for aid.
Because this worthless A**Hole has returned important letters, I almost had a warrant filled out for my arrest in NY. Oh, I doubt NY will pay to come get me, but S.S. Will cancel my disability.
Luckily I have a few Judge friends back there that know me and have intervened. This is NOT an ethics violation, I haven't done anything illegal, but they do know the support issues, my ex, and my daughters. Jefferson county for some odd reason likes to harass parents every now and then when there system screws up.
I have called Tulsa Post office, the one in Oklahoma city and the States Attorney General.
Oklahoma JUST DOES NOT CARE ABOUT IT'S PEOPLE.
The News DOES NOT CARE ABOUT ITS VIEWERS. ( I am sure bacteria on a computer keyboard is a major issue).

So Tulsa can get that new "KY His and Hers Sensations", sit on there thumb, and stay the heck away from me when I eventually snap. But I will be the evil person at that point.

I can tell you right now why crime is high in Oklahoma, people are NOT doing there jobs, making people snap and committing crimes.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

Like I said before, and these postal people keep threatening to strike if the price of stamps doesn't go up more.

Everything is rising except for wages.  oh yea, minimum wage will be like 7.20 next year.  woohoo, big deal.  It'll be like what 4.75 was back in the day.  Doesn't matter.

I think the NEWS may care to a degree but you are right.  Oklahoma does not care about it's people.  And they wonder why people are leaving.

Those guys wages start at $17.00 per hour, you would think for that kind of money they would be a little more motivated.

Go to the USPS site, make sure it is the official one,( if they want money for anything, it isn't the official one), sign up for test schedule, you will get it in the mail, where to go , when the test is, and what you have to do, it takes about 3 hours to do the test, it is not easy, but I passed it, you need to score as high as possible, they call you sooner if you score well, then after you pass the test, they send you a schedule to go to OKC to do the physical, and more testing, paperwork and such, they re-imburse you for the hotel,( stay at the best one they offer, )I stayed at the Crowne Plaze for the physical part, it is really near the PO headquarters where you will test, then you come home,  then in a week or so, you get to go back to OKC for class, I stayed at a motel nearer the Capitol for the second trip because it was closer to the class, 3 days and nights the first and second trip, they pay(reimburse) for your hotel, gas and toll, I took my  kids the first trip, we had a ball, the second time only my daughter went with me, I got a check for like $850.00 for the two trips, then after you do class, they assign you to the Station nearest your home to whatever job you chose, and you test for driving the mail vehicle, and train for the route. I wanted rural carrier, because it is a permanent assignment and pays better, but because of my age, they made me a city carrier, which is not a permanent assignment and paid less,( you can only work for like 180 days, then before your contract expires, you can renew for another 180 days) plus you walk your a&& off, but if you are still young, I would encourage you to go for it, job security and good wages, plus you can really get good retirement when you get old. It is worth it, and maybe you can deliver kindagreywolfs mail to him and keep him out of jail. LOL

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

I almost applied to be a rural carrier.  It was the hours that scared me off.  (I was looking for part-time, and they were acting like you had to be there everyday.)  I should've just gone ahead and applied.  It'd be nice if I could deliver in my own area.  Heck, I'd offer to replace the Mr. Old Flatulence, who really needs to retire.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

If I did do it, I'd be about 60 miles from most of you since I live that far from Tulsa.  But, I may just go ahead and find out kindagreywolfs addy and get his route so he'll get his mail.

Re: Tulsa Post Office Sucks and I can prove it.

Lol Here's an update on my New P.O. Box. First the costs
    Syracuse N.Y.     $20 Yearly
    NYC, NY           $32 Yearly
    Yakima, Wa        $20 Yearly
    Tulsa, OK           $52 Yearly

    Rules differ a bit also.

Syracuse. As long as you have cash, you get one.
    NYC, Proof of Identity
Tulsa, Proof of Identity and proof of CURRENT living address.

Now this lady demanded that I write down EVERYONES name on who will use that P.O. Box. This is because ONLY that persons mail will be delivered to the P.O. Box. I only put my name down.
    I got my Mail today...................
    Lawrence S**********
    Shari D*******
    Joesephine P***
    Rose B. R***
    D. Scott S*****
    Victor M****
    Dorothy E*****

    Social Security Update.
They sent a letter to my Mailing Address, got returned.
They sent a letter to my P.O. Box, Got returned.

They faxed the letter so I could get my meds to a friend in South Tulsa, I got it. They also faxed a copy of the return letter, one with the correct mailing address and the other had the correct P.O. Box!

I give up, I am going to get on medicaid in case things get screwed up again, I have no choice.

And the hits just keep on comin'.  I stopped buying them at the grocery store because they were always shredded.  You'd think that a subscription would be safer, but evidently not.
