I agree, quite irritating. I am still not convinced this is a driver issue. Microsoft's software is indeed not using the same frequency to tune to that it finds in the initial scan, because they have it set up to use the frequencies in the FCC database or they get from the guide folks at ZAP2IT. This is obviously a horrible implementation that could be considered a bug, however all the other stations in town are managing to work around it somehow.
I suspect if KMYT would straighten out the frequency they actually broadcast on with where Vista gets the information, Media Center would automagically tune to the channel just like every other channel in the band that works like its supposed to.
In the meantime, everyone in Northeastern Oklahoma who wants to watch KMYT with a computer with Vista is hosed. As neither Microsoft nor KMYT seems concered to correct it.
If one of the Engineers on KMYT cares to share more technical details surrounding the problem, or would like to correct my hypothesis, lets have it.
