    Would you buy his books?

Rapper Snoop Dogg is set to release an illustrated children's book series.

The Signs hitmaker - real name Calvin Broadus - is reportedly in the process of creating the Where's The Cheese series of urban books.

Snoop is writing Where's The Cheese, which will be illustrated by his cousin Joe Cool, to help city youngsters cope with the problems that can arise in their environment.

OK so all he sings about is the N words, The B word, Killing Cops (I have mixed feelings about this), being in gangs, smacking women around and treating them like prostitutes.

Now he wants to write childrens books, is this the stuff you want your kids to read?

Re: Would you buy his books?

Well, I seriously doubt the childrens books are going to be about crap like that.  If that was the case, it wouldn't be a childrens book.  They can't just stick it in the childrens section themselves, there's people that decide that.

Also, Mick Foley has wrote great childrens books and was a Best Selling Author at least twice now(maybe more) and he's a hardcore wrestler.  Not talkin about someone that just dresses up in tights and throws another around.  WE're talkin about someone that jumps off steal cages, catches himself on fire, get's hit by any object an opponent can grab, and etc.  Yet, america buys his childrens books because they are actually really good.

Let's not forget about the founder of the crips.  I don't remember his name but he's done more than what Snoop dog talks about in his music.  He founded the gang called the Crips for Christ sakes.  I mean, they are still around and very notorious in about every crime out there.  This man finally ended up in prison for killing someone.  He then decided to write childrens books and either won a pulitzer or was up for one.  Can't remember.

My point, don't be quick to judge it.  You never know how it's going to turn out.  I say if we all can read those other two's books and give them much deserved props then I believe that snoop can do the same thing.  So far, I don't see a problem.

Anyone can write a childrens book. What's sad is you'll have a kid who loves the books and then gets old enough to realize what a jack@ss Snoop is and it will be a total downer. Kind of like ole Pee Wee Herman in the theater type thing.

Yea, if he cares anything about the author.  I could care less about Dr. Suess or whoever when I was young.

Snoop does a lot for kids in hi community.  He coaches at team and runs a childrens football league.  He also donates time and money to shelters for less fortunate children.  Yeah, he may be rough, tough, and all gangsta', but he does give back and tries to make a difference.  That's more than most people do.  So I say give the books a chance, you may be surprised.

Like I said, Shawn "Tookie" Williams who founded the notorious CRIPS gang in California won a pulitzer prize for his childrens books that he wrote while waiting for his death on death row.  THe movie is out, Jamie Fox plays "Tookie".  It's a must see.

Shawn wasn't the first and won't be the last guy to have a death row conversion, even a couple of pedophile/child murderers had a conversion and tried to go out a nicer guy when they knew without a doubt they were going to die. If he had been serious about helping kids avoid gangs, he would have given up a lot of names to the gang task forces so they could be taken off the street and quit enlisting gang members in grade schools. Shows you how easily peoples opinions can be swayed, even about a convicted gang head/ and murdering piece of garbage like him.

I wouldn't allow it in the house, I don't care how innocent his book is, he is a jerk and is a terrible example for young men.

Re: Would you buy his books?

He didn't have to, the authorities all knew who he was connected with.  Done no good because many have came and just took up where Tookie left off.  All I'm sayin is that he was a pulitzer prize winner while waiting on death row.  Honestly, I don't have much of an opinion on him.

I totally agree Patriot. I don't care what he does he's a waste of space. I can't stand it when my daughter watches the show. I make her turn it off. He makes glamorizes being ignorant. Just about the way that Anna Nicole Smith did.

Re: Would you buy his books?

To be honest though, Snoop doesn't make me nearly as sick as RKelly, that sicko likes to do little girls, married a 15 year old, then made the film having sex with the other one who was 15 or 16, it has been 6 years and he still hasn't gone to trial for that. He is a pedophile, what is the problem people, why hasn't he gone to trial, sex with a minor, and child porn, plus he lied to officials, Martha Stewart went to prison for lying to officials, and she didn't even scr** children on film. The double standard in this country is so sleazy and sick, no wonder we have so many pedophiles. He has made milllions upon millions of dollars in that six years of freedom, no telling how many more little girls he has engaged in sex with, that is wrong.
