The town of Fort Gibson invites you to attend their First Annual Corn Festival highlighting the area's major crop. Bring lawn chairs. Attend the 6 p.m. Friday, June 26th corn shucking contest, parade and fireworks display at dark. Saturday there will be games for all ages (each for a small cost), vendors selling corn to eat or take home by the bushel, historic reenactments, and free day-long musical entertainment ending with a 10 p.m. street dance. Proceeds will benefit the town's planned sports complex.
