Identity theft is the Federal Trade Commission and the United States Postal Service’s number one customer complaint. In an effort to increase awareness of this ever-growing trend, IBC Bank and identity theft protection company CSIdentity have partnered to host an educational event and provide fraud-related information to the public on Friday, April 4. The identity theft seminar features national speaker, award-winning and two-time identity theft victim John Sileo.
Sileo, America’s top identity theft speaker, will join IBC representatives to address how identity thieves are stealing identities, how citizens can fight back against fraudulent activity and what people should do if they believe their identity has already been compromised. The event also features a truck-sized shredder, provided by Iron Mountain, to allow citizens and businesses to properly dispose of their confidential documents right in front of them.
