Description / Comments

Identity theft is the Federal Trade Commission and the United States Postal Service’s number one customer complaint. In an effort to increase awareness of this ever-growing trend, IBC Bank and identity theft protection company CSIdentity have partnered to host educational events and provide fraud-related information to the you. On Friday, April 4, the two companies are hosting an identity theft educational seminar and citywide shredding event, featuring national identity theft speaker and former identity theft victim John Sileo.

IBC and CSIdentity are hosting the educational seminar and shredding event on Friday, April 4, at the IBC Tulsa Lewis Avenue branch, located on E. 73rd Street. Sileo, a two-time victim of identity theft and America’s top identity theft speaker, will join IBC representatives to discuss how identity thieves are stealing identities, how citizens can fight back against fraudulent activity and what people should do if they believe their identity has already been compromised. The event also features a truck-sized shredder, provided by Iron Mountain, to allow citizens and businesses to properly dispose of their confidential documents right in front of them.
