March is National Women's History Month and March 8th is International Women's Day
Stay tuned for more information and a poster for National Women's History Project 2008 theme: Women's Art: Women's Vision. Mayor Kathy Taylor signs a proclamation making March Tulsa Women's History Month. This is not a public event, but a public notice for Tulsa Women to know that you are honored and appreciated for all of your hard work in the home, at work, in politics, in the arts and media and more. Hopefully next year we will have a public event. It takes time to grow our city and it will take time for us to establish the habit of honoring our citizens on occasions, such as Tulsa Women's History Month.
